There’s already a Senna on the grid, it’s looking increasingly likely there will be a Schumacher and now there could even be a Prost.

Nicolas Prost, the son of four-time world champion Alain, has been linked to a role at Renault in 2010.

Prost is believed to be in with a shot of a reserve driver position at the team after he met with agents from Gravity management.

Speaking to ESPNF1, a Gravity agent said:

“Our trip to ice racing this weekend was only a friendly visit to Alain Prost and his son Nicolas. So far, we haven’t spoken about anything regarding 2010, even if having this prestigious name back in F1 could be fantastic”.

Prost was the 2008 Euro 3000 champion and has competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours race and Renault World Series.

His father, four times World Champion Alain and former Prost Grand Prix boss, has been touted as a future Renault team boss.

OK, all we need now is a Mansell and Piquet back and it will be just like the glory days.

Nelson Piquet recently tweeted that he has “very good things” going on for next year, so he might be back lol! We’ve already got a Rosberg in the mix too.. If only they are as good as the oldies..

Oh yeah, I forgot about Rosberg!

    No not Piquet :(
Great article. Motorsport has always ran in families the Hills being possibly the most successful example, but right now we have a lot more offspring than usual in the sport!
