9-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi has passed his Ferrari F1 test with flying colours. Following on from yesterday’s rain-dogged test, in the much improved conditions today Rossi was on fire in the Ferrari, setting a fastest lap 0.8secs quicker than the fastest lap at the 2009 Grand Prix at the same track. However it is unclear as to what fuel-load Rossi was running and whether he was racing in a legal 2008-spec car.

Felipe Massa is in Barcelona and will take over testing duties for Ferrari tomorrow.
