Despite the rumours sparked by Pitpass, suggesting he had resigned from his post as the Mercedes GP CEO, I can confirm Nick Fry will continue at the Brackley-based team.
I have had a text message off the Mercedes communications manager Nicola Armstrong confirming that Fry will stay at the team.
Pitpass claimed that Fry had been replaced by Mohamed Badawy Al-Husseiny, chief executive of the Aabar investment fund, which owns 30% of the German team.
Fry joined the Honda F1 team in 2005, and has stayed with the team under its subsequent titles; Brawn GP and Mercedes GP. | Fry’s full biography on the Mercedes GP website.
