Monza will continue to hold the Italian Grand Prix until 2016, following a deal between F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, and the track’s owners.

There had been some worry about the historic circuit holding the GP after 2012 when it’s contract ran out.

There is a Grand Prix planned to be held through the streets of Rome. Organizers are hoping it’ll be on the 2012 calendar, but Ecclestone is indicating 2013 is more likely.
