Kobayashi fastest in Barcelona as test draws to a close (Pictures)

Sauber’s Kamui Kobayashi set the fastest time of the day as the second pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya drew to a close. His 1:22.312 was the quickest time of the week.

The Japanese driver set the fastest time, despite suffering with an exhaust problem and grinding to a halt late in the session. Yesterday’s fastest driver Pastor Maldonado of Williams was second, with Force India’s Paul di Resta third.

Jenson Button was fourth ahead of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa, with Jean-Eric Vergne, Nico Rosberg and Heikki Kovalainen of Toro Rosso, Mercedes GP and Caterham respectively rounded out the timesheet.
